Sunset over the old jetty on Hindmarsh Island, South Australia

Our Approach

Considered Craftsmanship

Handmade on Hindmarsh Island

Poured by hand, where the river meets the sea

There's no factory line here. Each candle is poured by hand on Hindmarsh Island, South Australia, then labelled and packed by us. It's slower, and that's the point: small batches mean we can check every candle, and we only make what we need.

Our scents are named after the places that shaped them, from Goolwa's ancient ocean to the Fleurieu's olive groves.

What Goes Into Every Candle

Simple materials, chosen with care

Lit Kuitpo Forest soy candle in a sage-green glass jar

Soy wax

We pour with premium soy wax, a plant-based wax made from soybeans. It gives a clean, even burn and is vegan-friendly.

Wood & cotton wicks

Choose a wood wick for a soft, fireside crackle or a cotton wick for a quiet, steady flame. Both are natural materials.

Vessels made to be kept

Our glass jars and travel tins are designed to be cleaned out and used again: a pen pot, a small planter, a home for little things.

How We Work

Four things we hold to

01

Small batches, not mass production

We pour in small runs rather than stockpiling, so less sits on shelves and every candle gets a proper look before it leaves us.

02

Reuse, then reuse again

Once your candle is finished, clean out the last of the wax with warm soapy water and give the jar or tin a second life. Our candle care guide shows you how.

03

No unnecessary packaging

We keep packaging simple and purposeful: enough to protect your candle on its way to you and make it ready to give, without the overdesigned extras that end up in the bin.

04

Made to burn well and last

A candle that tunnels or burns out early is waste. We choose the wick to suit each candle and share simple care tips, so you get every hour of burn from it.
